Jess Dugan, a somewhat recent alum, has a show up in Gallery Kayafas, down on Harrison Ave in the South End. First Fridays is coming up and everyone should go down there, to see here work, and check out all the other great stuff.
photografica (Sept. 27- 28 2008) is twice a year and a most excellent event to go to and hyper-geek-out. There are a ton of booths and reps from stores and private dealers. Sometimes there are some total gems for super cheap. There are some demos and members from different organizations including but not limited to the Stereo New England group and the Daguerrean Society. I go there for the vast collection of tin types that i can bring home with me. But it is basically a treasure trove of interesting photo people and tons of stuff.

Also in New York is the PDN Photo Plus Expo and Conference October 23-25 2008. You can register now and get in for free or pay extra for special admittance.
