Photo department meeting.

there was a small turnout. but we got some good feedback

we spoke about the NYC trip sponcered by SGA- 

 it's looking like a yes- 

MEGA BUS- we need to reserve the seats in advance- so there will be a signup sheet we don't have a ton of cash so each student will have to pay for part of their ticket. 

More on this soon- tenetively we're looking at Sat. Nov. 15 for the trip.... but again- that's tenative.

Student Organized End of the Semester show- off campus

people dig it. so we're getting together a proposal and have a list of galleries to contact. 

we're having 3 student jurors from each year to help curate etc- so far we have the juniors selected, and one senior- 

we need 3 sophomores and 2 seniors. 

we're also going to need a small commitee of people to oversee everything.

submissions will be due within the month.  more on this soon

Photo department pictures 

the second week in November we will be having  a few students taking portraits of everyone in the department. We will then put them all together to have a poster with everyone's face and name on there. The idea is to create a friendlier  place where we get to know the people here a little bit better.  Zack Milligan-Pate is organizing this: for more info- or if you're interested in helping to photograph please email him :

Sexy calendar- what?!?!

so maybe not everyone got the opportunity to see the sculpture department's Sexy Calendar... but we did! and We LIKE IT! So much, infact, that it has been suggested that we should make one. Indeed! We're looking for vollenteers   for models, ideas, and photographers.  The plan is to shoot as much as we can and then get together and edit down to the best 12 for the months and the outtakes will be presented in a contact sheet style on the back of the calendar. 

WHOOO!

we'll be sending it out for printing and in theory the return could benefit our department - more field trip money- maybe department t shirts- who knows the possablities are endless.
