the details keep changing and the likely hood is that it will be very difficult to have any on campus for openings or events of any kind even after going through a much more difficult set of tasks to be approved.
I'd like to hope that some people in our department will want to get involved.
Fri. December 5 at 2pm the SGA group Clay For Change is having an event where students will be able to make clay stuff- even if you don't know how, they will help you. There will be music and snacks. This will be in the wheel room which is in the South building room 203.
next week there are a series of closings through out the school ( student life, instellation station etc. ) there will be live music in some places and food and beverages. Please take a break from review prep to support your fellow students.
MAC is having an event called "Festivus" tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 4th at 7pm in the student center. There will be free mugs, hot chocolate, gingerbread houses, and candy cane sculpture contest.
MAC will also be having Late Night Breakfast Thurs Dec 11, 9pm in the student center.
this is pretty wonderful.
And, I will be trying to get the budget for the new semester ready and am open and interested in any suggestions. Hopefully we'll be granted more $$ but the whole school will be suffering an additional %3 budget cut thanks to our Governor D. Patrick (yet another reason to participate in local politics). The more we try to work with other departments and benefit the school as a whole community the more money we are likely to receive.
