Award-winning photographer, Sally Mann discusses the thoughts and the processes that lie behind her haunting work, from her early series of photographs of her children to her recent landscapes of the American South, using nineteenth-century photographic processes. Mann's books of photographs include At Twelve: Portraits of Young Women, Immediate Family, Mother Land: Recent Landscapes of Georgia and Virginia, Deep South, and What Remains. Her work is in major public and private collections throughout the country. One of her photographs can be seen in the exhibition "Photographic Figures" in the Herb Ritts Gallery.
